PROFESSIONAL

Having worked in the City of London for a number of years, I branched out into writing and editing in 1988. In 1989, I wrote An Introduction to Commodity Futures and Options (McGraw-Hill). This book sold out, as did the subsequent second edition. Then, variously as an editor or typesetter (and often both!), I became involved in the production of a substantial number of quality financial publications, including:

  • The European Bond Markets (6th edition, McGraw-Hill, 1997)
  • The World's Futures & Options Markets (1st edition, McGraw-Hill, 1991 & 2nd edition, Probus, 1993)
  • The Global Investor (Probus, 1994)
  • The Reuter Guide to Interest Rates (Probus, 1994)
  • Insurance from Underwriting to Derivatives (Wiley, 2001)
  • Constructing and Calculating Bond Indices (Probus, 1994)
  • The Euro (1st edition, Wiley, 1997 & 2nd edition, Wiley, 1998)
  • The UK & the Euro (Wiley, 2001)

Recently, I have been responsible for the production of various high-quality corporate publications and slideshows for clients such as Invesco & EFG Private Bank.

PERSONAL

Nick writes (February 2008):

I live in Mill Hill, in north-west London and I am married with two young children, aged 7 and 3. I was educated at Orange Hill Grammar School (this can be verified by checking www.friendsreunited.co.uk!). Orange Hill subsequently merged with Moat Mount Secondary School to become Mill Hill County High School (MHCHS). I have been a governor of MHCHS since 1997 and I am happy to associated with one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the UK. As well as serving on the main governing body, I am chairman of the premises committee and I also sit on the personnel committee.
